Shout it from the Rooftops / May 2029

On the eve of its thirty year re-release Justin Hawkins has hailed the second Republica album Speed Ballads as "the greatest album of the 20th century".

The 54-year old former Darkness frontman made the claim from his bedside at the Hellesdon Mental Health Trust Hospice in Norfolk, which has been his home for the past five years. His estate is funding a re-release of the 1998 electronic-techno-punk-pop album, and if well enough, plans to tour the album in 2030 with original Republica singer Samantha Sprackling.
